We are happy to announce the launch of a large-scale translation program for Ethereum.org, which will translate the website and other resources into more than 15 languages.

Ethereum is a global project, and it is critical that Ethereum.org reflect our worldwide community. Since the website’s relaunch, our team has prioritized organizing a translation program that can ensure resources about Ethereum are accessible to everyone, regardless of their nationality or language.

Today, we are thrilled to launch our first full translation: a Korean version of the website, available now at ethereum.org/ko. In the coming weeks, our program will expand with an initial focus on completing translations in Simplified Chinese, Japanese, Russian, German, and Italian. This initial set of languages was chosen based on search volume for Ethereum and related terms, as well as traffic to websites related to Ethereum.

While this effort is initially focused on translating Ethereum.org, over time it will expand to include translations of important community resources like documentation, guides, blog posts, and more.

The translation program will be a combination of volunteer-driven translations, project management from the Ethereum Foundation team, and professional translation services where needed to fill gaps or to provide audits.

Are you interested in helping with the translation effort for a specific language? We’re seeking volunteers from the global Ethereum community to join language-specific teams. We encourage you to learn more and get involved here.

Ethereum is critical infrastructure for all of humanity, and Ethereum.org should reflect the diversity that we see at regular hackathons and events across the world. With today’s launch of ethereum.org/ko and the Ethereum.org translation program, we’ve taken one more step toward reflecting the most important thing about our ecosystem — our community.

Special thanks to Taeyeon Kim, who has led the translation program, and the team of volunteers who translated ethereum.org/ko: Daniel Jee, Hyungsuk Kang, Jeongmoo Heo, Jumin Lee, Sangphil Kim, Suhun Kim, Wanseob Lim, and Yeong Hun Ryu.
