IOEC 2025 gathers global experts in Warsaw to explore blockchain’s impact on economy, finance, and real-world applications.

On May 23-25, 2025, the first edition of the International Onchain Economy Conference (IOEC 2025) will be held at the Warsaw School of Economics – an international event dedicated to the blockchain ecosystem, which will bring together scientists, entrepreneurs and experts from Poland and the world.

The event is to bring together scientists, entrepreneurs, investors and decision-makers from Poland and the world. The aim of the conference is to jointly analyze new phenomena related to the economy based on blockchain technology and set directions for its development.

The conference is organized by the Warsaw School of Economics. The Steering Committee includes Dr. Grzegorz Sobiecki (coordinator), Prof. Ilan Alon (Ariel University, Israel) and Prof. Christoph Lattemann (Constructor University, Germany). The conference has a hybrid form, combining aspects of business and scientific conferences. For this reason, among the 40 lectures there are typically scientific presentations, but also business ones – research results and real examples of the use of blockchain technology.

The speakers include representatives of many scientific centers in Poland and several from abroad (Germany, Israel, India, Italy, Switzerland). There are also many business representatives, e.g. Tomasz Stańczak (Ethereum Foundation), Marcin Kaźmierczak (RedStone Oracles), Jacek Figula (Billon Group), Grzegorz Timoszuk (7bulls.com), Łukasz Pierwienis (Binance), Artur Bilski (Binance), Jimmy Tudeski (Polkadot) and others. The detailed program is available on the conference website. The topics of the planned presentations also cover a wide range of perspectives: from economics and finance (CBDC, DeFi) through supply chains, DAO, tokenization to regulation.

The organizers want networking to be a real element of the conference, which is why they are providing participants with a separate meeting zone for the free exchange of ideas, establishing scientific and business partnerships. In order to ensure the best possible networking and synergies of personal contact, the conference will be held exclusively in a stationary formula. The organizers do not plan to broadcast, but they do plan to record the sessions.

To demonstrate that blockchain is not only cryptocurrencies and not only potential, the organizers plan to provide registered conference participants with tokens (NFTs) proving participation in this event.

The conference partners are: RedStone Oracles, Binance Poland, Nethermind, Polkadot, Bitget, as well as: Billon, Superteam Poland, 7bulls.com, DLK Legal Korus, SafeAndTrust, Cookie3. The conference sponsors are Caruma, Quark Kantory, Deloitte, Onchain Foundation.
